The first three words of M. Scott Peck’s bestselling book, The Road Less Traveled, says it well: “Life is Difficult.”For some, it is an understatement. Whatever it is, the biblical truth remains that we all need support. While we all live out the typical ups-and-downs of life, going through the downs with support makes it a whole lot more bearable. This testimony of 24-year-old Kirstie Ennis is testament to the power of human support and love of a community. she admitted frankly: “If it wasn’t for my family, my loved ones, and my friends, I wouldn’t be here.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 teach:

9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.

This video shows us how Kirstie entered a suicidal phase in one of her darkest moments of her life. With 38 surgeries after an injury, her 39th would mean the amputation of her leg from the knee downward. She survived because she had help. She had support. She had encouragement from people willing to walk with her. Watch this powerful video and be encouraged.
